I am a maker. I make structural objects that are evocative of eras that the viewer can't quite place; architectural pieces that could have been unearthed a hundred years ago; items from indeterminate times, made with contemporary materials. I explore the intersection of spaces, interiors and exteriors. I make industrial textiles...modern archaeology.
I also make photographs. Photographs of faces, places, life on the street. I'm a silent witness to the world that whirls around me; a silent witness with a camera. Coaxing a smile, a sideways glance, a defiant stare. Documenting moments, entering other's lives for just an instant, and capturing happenstances that no one else may ever remember but me.
